A couple of notes for the week...
This Wednesday, August 5 (6 pm-10 pm), the Georgian Apartments Rooftop will be open for all to come and celebrate the grand opening of their Rooftop Pool Deck. There will be global cuisine (*whatever that means...), cocktails and music by Seyhan Duru.
The Where: Georgian Apartments Rooftop, 8750 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD (301) 424-4141.

The Money: FREE!!
Small cart making big moves...
Penn Quarter has a new cart on the block. From the creators of Zola and DC Central Kitchen comes the new Spy Diner. The sidewalk food cart offers egg and cheese sammies, sliders and daily soups. Now why would we highlight a food cart in the District when there's one on every other corner of Downtown?? Spy Cart is a training center for graduates of the D.C. Central Kitchen. D.C. Central Kitchen trains homeless and unemployed adults in efforts to obtain a career in the food service industry. We love a good cause! And it doesn't hurt that the new Downtown cart doesn't have Downtown prices...

The When: 8:30 am-5:30 pm M-F, 11 am-6 pm Sat. & Sun.
