Food.Fun.Stuff: Deal of the Day

In this economy, everybody could use a good deal. That’s why we were glad to come across this new website, LivingSocial, which features a new deal everyday and gives people 24 hours to “get in” on the deal. We know, blah, blah, blah…this sounds like every other deal-a-coupon site popping up these days. The thing that stands out about this site, however, is that it is actually headquartered in the District helping other local businesses offer discounts to local residents. So what do they mean when they say “deal”?? Well today, for instance, you pay $25 for a $50 gift card to one of Georgetown’s poshest restaurants (*They only announce the partners/restaurants/vendors on the day of). 50% off is good business. So what do we have to look forward to for the rest of the week…:

Thursday- Pay $9 for an $18 ticket to one of DC’s coolest museums
Friday- Pay $25 for a $50 gift certificate to a 2009 RAMMY award-winning restaurant and dessert lounge
