Food.Fun.Stuff: Be Back in a Minute Plus Something New

So two things coming from Ashok Bajaj:

1. He's closing up shop @ 701 Restaurant...just for a minute. For 10 days, beginning August 2, 2009, 701 will be closed due to renovations and will get a new chef, Adam Longworth of Gotham Bar & Grill in NY who will replace Bobby Varua (*So where is Bobby headed now??...).

And

2. New Restaurant! (*We get excited when we hear news like this, that means more adventures in the life of a foodie...) Ashok Bajaj has scouted out Nicholas Stefanelli to be his executive chef @ Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca. Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca will offer Italian cuisine (*DC definitely needs more of these...or let's restate that, DC definitely needs more good Italian spots) @ 1100 New York Avenue in early September. What a way to usher in Fall...pasta, pizza and warm tomato sauce...we'll take one of each, please.
