Your Hummus

Your Hummus

1 can chick peas
2 tbsp. roasted/minced garlic
1/2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp. olive oil (*amount based on desired consistency)
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 cup feta cheese
3 tbsp. olives

In a food processor, process the beans, garlic, lemon juice, oregano and olive oil until you reach your desired consistency (*If you want a smoother texture, add more olive oil by the 1/2 tsp until you reach your desired texture...) Top with feta cheese and olives. Serve with your favorite pita bread or chips.

*Johnna's tip: One of the great things about Hummus is not only that it is quick and easy to make, but it can be made with so many variations that you can change the taste according to what you're feeling like that day. In the mood for something with more of a bite?? Try adding Roasted Red Peppers to the recipe to create Roasted Red Pepper Hummus or change the cheese up and use goat cheese instead of feta. Hummus is the hungry mouths way to a healthy snack...try it;-)
