Food.Fun.Stuff.: Bad Food News...

Paris> France is proposing a fee increase for extra-fatty, salty and sugary products. The French Budget Ministry is suggesting this increase in response to child obesity on the rise and the French are beginning to lose their image as eating any and everything and staying thin. Talk about government involvement...

Alaska> So you think the rising gas prices are eating up your pockets?? Well imagine how the people in Barrow, Alaska must feel with UNleaded gas at the price of $10 and heating fuel at $9.10 a gallon. But this is not the worst part (*well for a foodie), its the cost of food that kills you: $6 for a loaf of bread, $10 for a gallon of milk, $10 for a pound of strawberries and $4.60 for a dozen eggs! This is where a foodie must get real creative in the kitchen to keep your cooking spirits up and leftovers must become your best friend.

These news tidbits are brought to you by the good folks of JKGF;-)

My average grocery bill would be more than our monthly income there, yikes!
Guess I'll stick with the lower states!
