Food.Fun.Stuff: Chop't Up

Chop't is the new salad buzz that began in NYC and has leaked into the Washington, D.C. area with 3 new locations (Rosslyn, Downtown 7th street and Dupont Circle). This new salad chain has put a creative spin on the ole' classic salad. You begin your new salad excursion by telling them which one (salad) you would like (*they have an endless list of possibilities...anything from sunflower seeds to string beans can be included in your salad...) and you follow the line til you get to your person who will bring your creation to life. They chop it up so finely and then add these delicious dressings that will turn you into a salad fanatic even when you don't like salad!

JKGF recommends: The Chop't Po'Boy with Tex Mex ranch dressing (has a little spicy bite to it;-), The Steakhouse with Steakhouse Blue Cheese dressing and the Santa Fe with Tex Mex Ranch dressing. Granted JKGF has tried everything on the menu and has filled up the whole stamp card they give you when you purchase a salad (*fill up the stamp card by getting it stamped every time you eat here and you'll get a free salad!), those salads listed above are the ones that are craved on a pretty consistent basis...Eat, be healthy and always Enjoy!

*Negatives: The line is out the door guaranteed between the hours of 11:30 am to 1:oo pm...HOWEVER, it does move rather quickly, so don't let it discourage you from tasting some pretty good fast food salad;-)
