Food.Fun.Stuff.: Yaay for a Good Cause!!

Bread in the City

It's always great when you can merge food and helping someone else out. Around the D.C. area, Bread for the City is known for being an organization devoted to providing helpful, comprehensive services to those in need around the Washington area including, but not limited to, clothing, Food and medical care.

JKGF is promoting the cause of Bread for the City in hopes of encouraging foodies locally and nationally to donate any non-perishable foods and healthy foods they can find in their pantry's. JKGF despises having to throw food away and while contemplating throwing away things that couldn't be used one day, we decided to seek out some good ideas for foods that need a new home. Bread for the City is a great way to pass along your canned beans that you know you hate to eat but brought for some arbitrary reason that you can't seem to figure out today. Give, smile and give your food a new home that really needs it!

Here's how you do it: http://www.breadforthecity.org/NETCOMMUNITY/Page.aspx?pid=214&srcid=240
