Homemade French Fried Onions

Homemade French Fried Onions

4 yellow onions
Flour
Milk
Oil
Garlic powder (to taste)
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
fresh lemon slice

Peel and cut up the onions into 1/2" thick slices and separate into rings. Dip into milk and flour; fry in deep, hot oil until crispy and browned. Drain on a paper towel. Season with salt pepper and garlic to taste. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over onions. Serve!

*Johnna's tip: These are excellent with spicy remoulade sauce (*recipe found on JKGF) or good 'ole fashioned ketchup. Now that summers here, make this a cookout staple side dish or appetizer.
