Johnna's Pick of the Week: Bread and Chocolate (D.C)
Many locations to choose from in the District. Bread and Chocolate has five different locations in the DMV area. Boasting tasty pastries and cakes, of course, don't overlook the breakfast that Bread and Chocolate offers. The omelets are pretty good considering (*JKGF does not eat omelets unless they're the ones that are made right there in front of your face...you know like the ones you get when you're at a good breakfast buffet...we dunno, it just seems they taste better this way...) The french toast is fluffy and melts in your mouth and the fresh fruit is a nice compliment to each meal especially where you feel you did something unhealthy:-) It's the neighborhood shop, the place to stop in on the way to work or just the place to lick some chocolate off your fingers...either way, we liked it and recommend you stop by when you get a chance;-)
*Disclaimer: Ok, so, Bread and Chocolate has received mixed reviews from other patrons we've talked to, but based on the JKGF experience it was dee-lish! Enjoy!
*The Mediterranean omelet is definitely worth a try...
