The Smorgasbord Called Meatloaf
1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup chopped onions
1-1/2 cups breadcrumbs
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 egg (beaten)
3/4 cup whole milk
1-6 oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ground beef/turkey, onions, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and garlic powder together in a bowl. Add the beaten egg and milk to the mixture and mix well. Add in the tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Put ingredients in a loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until done. Serve!
*Johnna's tip: Meatloaf offers a smorgasbord of food ideas. You could add in green peppers, red peppers, celery or even a broccoli to the ingredients to get the flavor that YOU like. Have fun with it and serve with a couple dollops of ketchup on the side...you'll be quite pleased with this quick and simple dinner option;=)
