Johnna's Pick of the Week (Travel Edition): Elmo's Diner
Elmo's Diner- Durham, NC
Breakfast anytime, all the time and how you want it. Elmo's Diner is a breakfast staple in Durham, North Carolina and is a must try if you are in the area. This is probably some of the best omelets on this side of the Carolina's that JKGF has tasted. This spot makes breakfast into more than some eggs and grits, it is made with fresh ingredients that you can taste as if you were in your own house being served breakfast.
Some things to know:
1. it's full of people all the time (*college students galore, as the menu prices are nice and cheap.) and
2. it opens @ 6:30 am, seven days a week:-) and closes around 10 or ll most times.
Oooo and try the Western omelet, melts in your mouth, not in your hands;-)
