Pound Cake

Pound Cake

1 1/4 cups butter
2 tbsp. shortening
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups cake flour
1 tbsp. vanilla butternut extract

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy on high speed of mixer. Add 1 egg at a time; beat 20 seconds. Add in flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing after each cup. Blend in flavoring. Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 65-70 minutes.
