Sloppy Joes

Sloppy Joes

Slow Cooker
4 lb. ground turkey
1 cup onion (chopped)
1 cup green bell pepper (chopped)
1-28 oz. can tomato sauce
2-10 1/2 oz. cans condensed tomato soup
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce ("WS")
1 tbsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)

In a pan, cook turkey, making sure to break up the meat, until browned; drain out excess fat. Add in the onions and green pepper stirring frequently until they have softened, about 10 minutes. Put the meat mixture in the slow cooker; add in the remaining ingredients and stir. Cook in slow cooker on low for 4-6 hours. Serve on your favorite buns.

*Johnna's tip: Have fun with sloppy joes...get some seedy buns and make some homemade french fries (*recipe coming soon to JKGF)...make sure you have plenty of napkins for the mess:-)
