Food.Fun.Stuff: New Series, New Ideas, New Lounge

What's going on??

>Well, first things first: Tom Sietsema has brought it to
video. Last week, the 3rd installment from Tom Sietsema’s TV Dinners video series was released. In this video, Tom reveals one of his favorite homemade desserts...what he doesn't reveal is his identity. We love it! Check out how you can get creative with pineapples. >"Happy. Healthy. HomeMade" Promotion starts today @ Homemade Pizza Company. What's the deal?? Get $3 Small Salads and $3 Happyroni pizzas Monday thru Wednesday. Happyroni's are HPC's Cutie Pies (*9" pizzas) with ingredients arranged in a happy face on the pizza. Cute. Additionally, HPC has added some healthy, exotic menu items to the bunch including "The Kasbah" pizza (*broccoli florets, sweet yellow pepper, red onion, shitake mushrooms, fresh chopped garlic, black olives and a regional blend of spices, all atop a light bed of mozzarella and HPC's Moroccan harissa sauce) and the "Double Ginger Seaseme Salad" (*Asian daikon radish tossed with red onion, red pepper, cucumber and grape tomatoes over a bed of fresh mixed greens and served with HPC's Double Ginger Dressing and spicy-sweet Toasted Sesame Brittle). Who would've thought we would see the day when pizza companies try to lighten up their fare?! Kudos to HPC for this innovative and healthy thinking! We like:-)

>New lounge menu for
The Source: On January 20, everything is changing from American-themed to an Izakaya-style menu over at the lounge in The Source. Mocking its upstairs dining room, sushi, sashimi, noodles, dumplings and meats cooked using the Japanese charcoal grilling technique known as robata will fill the room. You can get 3 for about $30 with prices ranging from $8 to $12. The new menu will be available Monday through Wednesday from 4 pm to 11 pm and Thursday through Saturday from 4 pm to 12 am.

Some of the goodies to look forward to?? Pork Belly in steamed bao buns, Mini Banh Mi with country-style pate, Stir Fried Yaki Udon with wild field mushrooms and oxtail, Sichuan Chicken Dumplings with crushed peanut and chili “Dan Dan" and Black Cod with noodle salad and sesame dressing. We haven't physically tasted yet...but our minds are having a feast! Yum.
