> Tonight Zola Wine & Kitchen will be holding a Paella cooking class. You can learn how to prepare the classic Spanish meal using traditional ingredients i.e. saffron, seafood and veggies.

> Quiet as kept, Williams-Sonoma offers complimentary technique classes (*Class sizes are limited) and this weekend they are doing one for Dad. "Tool Time for Dad" will showcase the latest gadgets designed for summertime cooking that your Dad will love. It is time to start thinking about that Father's Day gift...(*June 21:-)...
> A little far in advance, but we wanted to tell you about the Whiskey Cruise we got word about. The party starts @ Pier 4 (*6th and Water street, SW Washington, D.C. 20024) and will feature over 100 whiskies.

The Money: $85...VIP $110 (*Includes Dinner and Whiskey Tasting)

> Restaurant Week for the Kids: From June 13-21, 2009, various area restaurants will provide kid-friendly, gourmet meals. It is an opportunity for parents to show their kids fine dining at an early age but with a more kid-friendly spread. On Saturday, there will be a full day (*9 am-4 pm) of food tastings, demonstrations and kid-friendly festivities in Eastern Market.
The When: June 13-21, 2009, 5 pm-7 pm
The Money: Grown-ups pay $29 for a three-course menu and children 11 and under are charged their age. (*Monies go to a good cause, Miriam's Kitchen, alongside contributing to reconstructing Eastern Market)
The Usual Suspects: Cafe du Parc, Art & Soul and Zola will be among the participating restaurants.
