Drinks on Me: Melon Champagne for the Masses (Alcoholic)

Melon Champagne for the Masses

4 bottles of 750-ml. bottles champagne
20 cups cubed and seeded watermelon
1 cup sugar
Ice

Make sure all ingredients are chilled. In a blender puree the watermelon and sugar together in batches and chill in the refrigerator. Add the watermelon and sugar to your favorite punch bowl and slowly add in the champagne. Add in the ice as needed (*this should be done in increments throughout the event to avoid a watered down punch). Serve immediately.

*Johnna's tip: This should serve about 40-50 guests depending on the type of drinkers you have in the crowd...is this a heavy drinker crowd? Make two bowls...is this a light-weight crowd? This should be sufficient. With the holidays in full effect now, it is time to start racking up some mass-drinking options. This recipe makes serving to the masses easy where they can just help themselves to the already liquored up beverage option and no one has to play bartender;-)
