Food.Fun.Stuff.: Cookout in the City!...Well Not Exactly...

Cookout in the City...Well Not Directly in the City;-)

So the WhoaDown Fest is back in the D.C. area with plenty of music, food and fun:-)

The When: August 16, 2008, Gates open @ 5 pm and show starts @ 7 pm

The Where: Steed Stables at Cameron Farms @ 16415 River Airport Road, Brandywine, MD (about 15 minutes outside of Washington, D.C.)

4 Good Reasons to Go:
1. Profits go to help the non-profit organization, STEED (*Working to enrich the lives of young people from D.C.'s Ward 8.)
2. Great reason to make a picnic basket (*which by the way, Pier One imports has the cutest one on sale for $25 this week!) and bring your favorite non-alcoholic beverages (*Recipes of course can be found on JKGF;-) (*Alcoholic beverages may be purchased on the premises)
3. Gas prices got you down?? There's a shuttle that will run you to and from the event for $10 round trip!
4. Are you a true hip hop fan?? Well some of the artists you will see are Camp Lo, Keith Murray and local talent, Jaspects.

Go, drink, eat, Enjoy! Tell 'em JKGF sent you;-)

Nice! This is worth going to just to see Jaspects. They are a band out of Atlanta, GA and all the dudes went to Morehouse with me. They are awesome and a must see if you have never seen them perform before. Great find!
