Food.Fun.Stuff: New Restaurant, New Cocktails


Love this time of year! This year it feels extra special and warm outside mostly because of the brutle winter the District experienced. The Cherry Blossoms are in full effect and new restaurants are blossoming around the District. Check it:

>>>We hear there were a swarm of tourist checking out the
Cherry Blossoms this weekend, hence we decided laying low was the best thing. For those of you wishing to cool down from the crowds, Ping Pong Dim Sum has created some cherry cool cocktails to release the steam. The Cherry Blossom inspired cocktails include the Sour Cherry & Coconut Bubble Tea (*Non-alcoholic), the Cherry Bellini and the Cherry Mousse with Almond Miso Brittle. The specialty cocktails end on April 11.

Michel Richard is at it again. This time he's stepping into the Virginia restaurant scene with his modern French cuisine. The new restaurant will occupy the space formerly held by Maestro in The Ritz-Carlton and plans a complete renovation by early Fall 2010. Slated to be named "Michel", the restaurant will be open seven days a week and will serve Sunday Brunch. Yum. We love Michel Richard and are all *smiles* when we hear about new food from him...good things to look forward to in the Fall.
