Food.Fun.Stuff: No Deal

Scarpetta is not coming to D.C:-(. The plans have been scratched out for Scarpetta to fill the void of what used to be Olives @ 1600 K st. NW. With a few more restaurant openings, TV projects and his pregnant wife due in February, Chef Scott Conant decided it just wasn't feasible right now. That sucks for us. We were looking forward to some good Italian coming to the neighborhood. The original Scarpetta in the Meatpacking District of NY is all the rave and it looks like JKGF will be missing out (*That is until our next trip home...).
