Food.Fun.Stuff: Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo. Ironically, Cinco de Mayo is not "an obligatory federal holiday" in Mexico, but rather a holiday that can be observed voluntarily. It is celebrated regionally, primarily in the state of Puebla. The holiday commemorates the Mexican army's defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. In America, it seems to have taken on a meaning of its own...a day for non stop Margaritas! For those of you interested in the Margarita part of the festivities there will be plenty of places for you to go starting with:
