All you need is coconut cream, crushed ice and pineapple juice to make these. The pina colada mix gives it a very unauthentic taste. Coconut cream is the secret.
Also why is strawberries in your recipe? I have never heard of that or seen a pina colada garnished with a strawberry on the rim. Its always a pineapple or cherries or a coconut halve.
Nice blog though anyway.
Adding the strawberries is just another twist on the drink, Pina Colada's don't have to take only one direction (variations on recipes is what makes them great and unique).
As for the pina colada mix, cocunut cream does add a different taste, we just used pina colada mix in this particular recipe. For our next pina colada recipe, we'll use the cocunut cream, Thanks for the comments!;-)
LoL...okay I understand that is what makes them great and unique. No need to get defensive! I will try a strawberry infused one just for you and report back.
Pina Colada mix is a mixture of coconut cream and other artificial things, so its the same taste essentially, just "watered" down. But good drink no matter how you make it, so its fine!
But thanks for the response!;-)
Good stuff;-) Let us know how it turns out!
LoL...will do! And you try it the "natural" way and let me know how it turns out!
